From the get go the discover altitude team helped me immensely. Making sure I had everything I’d need to complete the circuit. My guide bhakta was the most incredible guide you could ever ask for, from helping me learn my Nepalese to providing me with countless pieces of information about the Manaslu range. He was so welcoming, nice and helpful, making the Manaslu circuit trek something I will never forget.

I did the Chisapani to Nagarkot 3-day trek. It was interesting to see how the local people live and to walk through the villages in the hills. It was nice to have the meals and accommodation included. I did this trek as training for poon hill and it helped me condition for it. I will say someone said it was “easy trekking” and compared to Everest I am sure it is, it was personally the hardest challenge I’ve ever done. My guide Suresh was really helpful and let me go at my pace when I was tired or struggling. I felt safe the whole time.

I did a private EBC trek visiting Kala Patthar and Ama Dablam base camp with Discover Altitude in November 2024. The trip was fantastic and my guide Teju was amazing! Kumar and Santosh (owner of the agency and his colleague) are super friendly, they greet you at the airport and drop you off when you’re leaving, you get a detailed trip briefing before you leave. My guide Teju was very helpful and knowledgeable, he does the best practices about acclimating to altitude and keeping his clients healthy with constant reminders about proper clothing and using your buff to avoid dust. We got back to Kathmandu without the infamous Khumbu cough! Booking the private trek was a great option for me as I could customize my itinerary any way I wanted and go at the pace that worked for me.

Well organized. The organizer is very flexible and always open to our request to reschedule our flights, travelling arrangement. Choices of hotel and food are good. Pickup from and to the airport are provided.

I booked a four-day trek with Discover Altitude but due to altitude sickness could only complete three days of it. The trip went ahead despite my being the only participant, which I really appreciated. Teju was an amazingly friendly and helpful guide and even carried my daypack for me as I was feeling faint. He also kindly rearranged the trip so I could cut it short and return to Pokhara early. Chandra was also a very helpful and friendly porter. Be warned that the hotel in Ghandruk is freezing so bring your own superwarm sleeping bag and hot water bottle like I did (nice and cosy wood fire in the lounge however!) Really appreciated the company being so flexible and helpful when I didn't feel well enough to do the four days - everyone is affected by altitude differently and I was sadly someone who couldn't handle it.
