Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu and city tour

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport representative from Discover Altitude will pick you up and escort you to your hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu.

After refreshment, you will start the Kathmandu valley tour, which includes Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swyambhunath (Monkey Temple).

Kathmandu Durbar Square also known as Basantapur Durbar and Hanuman Dhoka Durbar is an ancient palace of the Kathmandu Kingdom standing from the 17th Century. There are numerous temples and Buddhist shrines which is one of the attractions for tourists.

You will be able to explore Taleju Temple, Kumari gar where the living goddesses Kumari reside, KalBhairav temple, Jagganath Temple with Kamasutra curving, Kastamandap temple the oldest 12th-century temple, and many others.

Furter, heading towards Swyanbhu Nath Temple, you will visit one of the legend stupas dating back to more than 2000 years on the top of the hillock.

There are different Hindu and Buddhist shrines co-existing together and hundreds of monkeys around with the magnificent view of Kathmandu valley and the Langtang Himalayan range.

Descending through the 365 steep staircases you will drive back to your respective hotel overnight.

Day 2 Visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and enjoy short hike to Nagarkot

This will be a relaxing tour and a short hike towards Nagarkot. Starting your day after breakfast will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

Bhaktapur is one of the ancient cities of Kathmandu valley and the first kingdom as well. From the 12-15th century AD, this small kingdom was the capital of Kathmandu valley.

Well preserved, this city has all the facilities needed for its citizen. Starting from temple to Buddhist shrine to masjid to cremation platform. Bhaktapur has everything travellers want to see.

Compromising 4 different squares Dattatria, Natapola, Pottery, and the final Durbar square, which includes Taleju temples, Char Dham, Pashupati temple, Siddhi Laxmi Temple, and Bhairab temple are just some to mention.

Further, you will drive towards Changunarayan village and hike for an hour through the Tamang settlement areas with the majestic views of the Himalayas, city, farmland, and forest to Telkot or (continue all the way to Nagarkot).

Day 3 Explore Nagarkot and hike towards view-point

Today you will be exploring Nagarkot village. This little village is a popular hill station to explore the wide range of the Himalayas.

Starting your day with an early sunrise view from your hotel and the first light falling upon the mountains will be a unique experience.

After breakfast, you will visit the village and hike towards the view-point uphill at the altitude of 2175 meters. During the winter Nagarkot experiences snowfall all around making it a village covered with a white blanket.

Day 4 Drive to Kathmandu & Explore Cultural Heritages

Today you will drive all the way towards Kathmandu valley. This will be a short tour to two different heritage sites which include Pashupatinath and Bouddhanath dedicated to Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage.

You will be able to explore the cremation done on the bank of the river Bagmati and will visit some of the popular Buddhist monasteries and observe the ritual ceremony. Then will drive back to Thamel and check in to your respective hotel.
