Mardi Himal & Annapurna Base Camp Combo Trek is one of the best short trekking adventures in Nepal, combining the hidden beauty of Mardi Himal with the world-famous Annapurna Base Camp Trail. Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500M) and Annapurna Base Camp (4,130M) are two popular trekking destinations in the Annapurna Region of Nepal. Lies close to the tourist capital Pokhara, Mardi and Annapurna are easy and closely connected by trekking trail, which can be joined within, and trekkers will have an option to start either way they prefer.

Annapurna Base Camp and Mardi Himal Base Camp Combo Trek can be an alternative option for trekkers who want to step at the base of the TWO popular Himalayas of the Annapurna Region and explore the range of surrounding mountains that connect together through a low altitude trek.

This combo trek to MARDI HIMAL and ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP will definitely be an alternative trail that provides a majestic and jaw-dropping experience for any trekkers who want to avoid a high-altitude base camp trek, such as Everest Base Camp or the Manaslu Base Camp Trek.

Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp Trek will take trekkers to the base camp of two different Himalayas in a row, with the stunning panoramic views of the two highest mountains in the world, i.e, Mount Annapurna (8091M) and Mount Dhaulagiri (8167M), along with other Himalayas that join this majestic range.

This can be trekked separately, and also trekkers can combine them together to make it a one combo trek with the same permits without descending back to Pokhara because of the very recent trail connectivity between the two trails.

The best part of this combo, the Mardi and Annapurna Trek, is its diversity in nature and also the settlements of the local ethnic community. As the altitude varies, so do the vegetation, landscapes, and the views, and also the culture and tradition of the people.

The scenic villages, landscape, fast-flowing rivers, old and typical houses, and the local hospitality will be a majestic experience for trekkers. The soothing environment, chill wind and peaceful trail through the dense forest will be a once in a life time experience.

The cost of Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp Combo Trek is mainly determined by two different factors, firstly, the number of trekkers and secondly the number of days one wants to complete this trek. However, including all, the cost for combo Mardi and Annapurna Base Camp Trek will remain in between USD 1500 to USD 1900 in total in a comfortable way, that will cover the entire package from Kathmandu till Kathmandu.

This cost includes, the entire package from permits, guide, porter, meals, accommodation and transport to/from the trek point.

Best route for Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp Combo Trek

Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp both lie in the Annapurna region of Nepal, and the Pokhara city is the gateway to both the trek. If one wants to start this trek then has to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu, either via short flight or road drive. However, Mardi trail is closer to the Pokhara city and trekkers can start any of the route as per their interest.

Here, the best option I personally will suggest is to start with the Mardi Himal and then ends the trek via Annapurna Base Camp. This will give opportunity for trekkers to gain their pace and also to acclimatize during this combo trek.

Starting with the Mardi Himal, one will reach the highest attitude of 4500 Meters at the base camp. However, this will be a morning hike to explore and trekkers will be sleeping at the High Camp (3550M), the highest altitude during the Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek.

Further, your trek will descend towards Annapurna Base Camp camp and then you will reach the base camp of Mount Annapurna to spend your night at 4130 Meters. Here, during the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you will be spending you overnight at the Base Camp of Mount Annapurna itself (4130M). This possibly will help to acclimatized first time trekkers when starting via Mardi Himal.

Moreover, during the Mardi Himala Trek, trekkers will be spending the highest altitude night at Mardi High Camp (3550M) and if you want to avoid spending a night at the Annapurna Base Camp (4130M), that too will be possible. Here you can spend the night at Macchapuchhere Base Camp (3700M) and make a morning hike to Annapurna Base Camp and descend.

How Long is the Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

The combo Mardi Himal and ABC Trek will be a 12-Days Program for trekkers in an easy and comfortable way. However, customization is doable depending upon your starting point or ending point of the trek.

Further, if trekkers want to extend or the trek and wants to join Poon Hill (3210M) trail itinerary that too will be possible. Here, the short and rapid way to trek Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp will start from 11 Days.

Accommodation and Food During the Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp Trek

The entire trek to Madi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp will be a tea house accommodation. Trekkers will be staying in a tea house operated by locals and this will be on a twin-sharing basis. At some point tea house/lodge will have attach bathroom within the room.

Rooms will be based on Twin Sharing basis, however, option of private remains with some additional payment. As the trek is to the low altitude, trekkers will have access to electricity and internet. Some lodges at the low altitude will have wifi with some surcharge. However, carrying local SIM with internet data pack will be best option for this trek.

Regarding food, trekkers will have multiple options to choose from the menu, ranging from local, continental, Chinese, Indian, etc. Food always remains fresh and is only cooked upon order by the trekkers and vegetables are fresh and locally grown.
